The undersigned hereby petition to have the 2nd Amend. clarified to plainly declare ‘That in order to ensure the security of these Free States the right of the people to bear arms shall not be infringed.’ An armed populace is the final safeguard of the peoples’ freedoms enshrined in the Const.; it protects the security of those in: cities, rural areas, minorities from KKK sheriffs, turbulent & trying times- LA Riots, Alaskan Earthquake, floods of '97, Katrina, Sandy, or some meteor strike in the future.
For too long we've watched the assaults on the 2nd Amend. & forced to hold our breath, waiting to see if a new interpretation by the Court will change 221 years of precedence, history, & law. Use whatever powers your office holds to protect our civil rights. We also will be contacting Cong.
