support and advance legislation that repeals Disabled Veteran Taxes.

Created by J.L. on January 09, 2013

Each year legislation is advanced in Congress to enact what is known as concurrent receipt (CR) only to languish and die in the committees. Vets who retired from the military have their pensions taxed dollar for dollar that they receive in disability compensation from the VA. Progress was made to open CR, but failed to address the issue for the most seriously wounded. This includes Chapter 61 Medical retirees that were retired from the military due to egregious injury or disease incurred while defending the nation. These retirees, through no fault of their own, were retired before they reached 20 years of service and were given a pension for time served only to have it taken away when they receive VA disability. Close this loop hole and bring these Vets pay in line with all other retirees!
