The only way we’re going to get Congress to live within its means is to force them to do it: we must cancel their credit card! We need to amend the U.S. Constitution and require Congress to pass a balanced budget!
You and I are forced to live within our means. And, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures, 44 of the 50 states require their governors to submit a balanced budget, and 38 states don't allow a deficit to be carried over to the next year. It's time to put the same control on the federal government.
