Election spending and campaigning in our country has spiraled out of control. Sweeping campaign reform will give us the opportunity to have candidates who have said no to special interest contributions. Not only will this encourage cleaner campaigns, it will allow the less wealthy and well connected to be heard. Most importantly our politicians in office will be able to focus more at the job at hand and the interests of their constituents as opposed to the constant fundraising and the pleasing of special interest contributors.
