Due to the fact that all critical decisions in the world are taken by the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, we do believe that this system fails to deliver international peace and stability.
It is evident that we need a comprehensive reform on the decision making process of the UN. World peace is not within the oligopoly of veto power owners and a structure based on prioritizing national interests of those instead of universal values and humanitarian concerns.
The rising middle class that seeks their voice to be heard by decision makers do not want a compulsory change of traditional institutions via another world war. In this regard the veto powers of the permanent members stand as an obstacle to be removed against international peace and democracy.
