Mr. Barack Obama,
Our nation was not won with the colonists laying down their arms to the British. Nor was the Revolution won solely by soldiers, but by militia, civilians armed and ready to defend their home. Today, firearms still compose of a great deal of our lives. In my opinion, a gun is not a weapon, it is a tool. How it is used defines its lethality. The world is going to have crazy morons; we'd best just accept that. I am all for making guns difficult or impossible for these people, but to instate Gun Control for all is folly. Laws affect the law-abiding, Mr. President; there is a reason some people are called "criminals". I would like to share that out of criminal shootings, less then 5% of firearms were purchased legally.
God Bless America
your fellow citizen,
Mike R.
