Checks and balances are a fundamental principle of our government. The Supreme Court remains unchecked in the aspect of judicial review.
A decision of the Supreme Court is final and affects millions of citizens; these judgments go without contestation and could and have had negative effects on the United States of America. No single nine citizens should have the final say on the purpose and meanings of our laws and Constitution.
As such, our Constitution should be amended to permit the joint consent of the President and a 2/3 ruling of the Congress the authority to overrule a decision of the Supreme Court to ensure and maintain the balance of the three main branches of our government.
