If we force term limits on the Congress and the Senate we eliminate "career politicians." This in turn will reduce government spending on their retirement benefits which are substantial.
The turnover will constantly bring new eyes and fresh ideas to the problems America faces. I do not hold with the arguments against this idea that it will send home "experienced" lawmakers. The years spent in both houses allows people of both parties to be more concerned with their own jobs and the influence of their party than the concerns of Americans. After so many years they forget who they work for and what their jobs are really about. Term limits take care of this problem. It will also lessen the impact of influence on our lawmakers.
