Support a constitutional amendment to protect the rights of the disabled. The morass of federal laws is not enough.

Created by A.S. on February 08, 2013

Disabled Americans have been stepped on long enough. Republicans opposed the international treaty protecting disability rights even with Bob Dole sitting there in a wheelchair asking for their support.

Democrats have inaccessible headquarters in South Bend and Indianapolis. In Indianapolis, you can't even get up to the Democrats without typing in a code to open the elevator. There is no Braille version.

Greens had no American Sign Language interpreter for their presidential acceptance speech.

The Republican secretary of state in Indiana makes those who are paralyzed or who lack hands to "sign in ink" ballot access petitions. She also does not offer the mandatory petition form in Braille or Spanish.

Disabled people need the Constitution to protect them. www.andrewstraw.com
