Let's stop debating whether the Founding Fathers envisioned the Internet and digital communications and wrote the 4th amendment to protect that. The Internet or computing was not in any way anticipated in the 1700's. Even if it were, some redundancy is good!
Let's pass an Amendment specifically to ensure a right to privacy in the digital world. When you use devices to create data that is then transmitted or stored on devices you don't control, the government should not be able to access that data without a warrant.
ie: The right of the people to be secure in their data held by third parties, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the information to be seized.
