Support a constitutional amendment that will create a term limit of one (1) term for members of the Congress and Senate.

According to US law, a senator has a term of six years, and a congressman/congresswoman has a term of two years. But what the two have in common is this: An unlimited amount of reelections is allowed to them.
The result of this is that the ostensible champions of the American public are not in Washington to perform a service—they are in Washington to get a continual (and very high) paycheck.
Put more succinctly: Membership in the Legislative Branch should be a service, not a career.
It is our belief that if a constitutional amendment following the precedents set by the 22nd and 27th amendments, instituting a limit of a single term for members of Congress and the Senate would go a long way toward a more honest and productive Legislative Branch that truly votes on the will of the people.
