The "Citizens United" decision allows those with unlimited financial resources to unfairly influence the electoral process. Prior to this decision, reasonable Election Funding laws limited contributions by both individuals and corporations to a reasonable amount of money. Since the Supreme Court ruled that such laws violated the First Amendment's free speech clause, a Constitutional Amendment is required to restore sensible campaign contribution limits. The average citizen cannot match the huge sums of money that large corporations can afford to contribute. Therefore, in order to level the playing field and preserve the ideal of one person, one vote; I ask the Obama Administration to support this Constitutional Amendment.
