Publicly support the construction of a passenger and freight, road and rail, tunnel or bridge crossing the Bering Strait between Alaska and Russia. Some of President Dmitry Medvedev of Russia's top officials have voiced support for such a project, and the Russian government has approved the construction of such a crossing for US$65 billion. The Russians are also building a railroad through Siberia to link the east coast of Russia to the rest of Russia, to facilitate the building of a bridge or tunnel across the Strait. A road link is also needed for both recreation and trade purposes. Building such a bridge or tunnel could greatly improve foreign and economic relations with the Eastern Hemisphere.
