Support the creation of a constitutional amendment requiring Congress to create a balanced budget or risk losing pay.

In light of the ongoing debt crisis, budget deficit in America, and ever expanding National Debt, I petition the President and both houses of Congress of the United States of America to propose and subsequently pass an amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America that requires Congress to annually pass a balanced budget to cap our excessive spending and rising debt or else face the consequence of Congressional pay being withheld until such time as the budget for the fiscal year is balanced and then passed.
