Due to the overwhelmingly negative response from the citizens of the United States of America, in recognition of our country's official stance at the United Nations, we petition to change our stance and support the recognition of Palestine as a state. Delegates from Palestine state that the violence is sure to stop if they may create their own country from the Gaza territory. With the United States' new position, we will have alleviated the stress of hundreds of millions of supporters of both sides of the age-old conflict and will have held true to our vow for what is in the best interest of Israel. If the United States and Israel do value peace, this action should be inherently sensible and worthy of endorsement.
