We the people beleive that Patenting living plant material both natural or Gentically Modified Organisms (GMO's) goes against nature, and the constitutional rights of Americans. Accidental pollination of patented material is causing great hardship for organic and non GMO farmers across the country. Unknowingly infringing on pantents has been shown time and time again to be no excuse from financial compensation to patent holders. Even though we cannot control a bees transfer of pollen anymore than we can control the wind blowing from one field to another. Pantents also hinder plant availibility and crop diversity due to lack of seeds controlled by the interests of few. GMO's have also failed to provide adequate empirical data to prove significantly better crops or long-term safety of use.
