Support the democratic right of adult citizens under age 35 to run for elected office

Created by A.L. on January 09, 2013

The Framers of the Constitution believed that only old white men should hold federal elected office. While ballot access restrictions based on race and gender have long disappeared, age-related restrictions remain unchanged from the 1700's.

While amending the Constitution is arduous, it is critical to know if President Obama believes that adult citizens deserve equal Constitutional rights regardless of age. Why? Momentous decisions regarding Social Security, Medicare, and the national debt will soon be made, but only older adults have a seat at the table.
