support the enactment of a law creating a living wage for workers in the United State. !50% of the poverty rate

Created by M.P. on December 05, 2012

A living wage would be 150% of the poverty rate adjusted by state. It would apply to all companies, businesses, city, town and state agencies. It would apply to part time workers as well as full time employees. Exemptions would be allowed for the first three years for start up companies or businesses and could be extended for another two years if the company can prove that it can not afford that pay rate based on their ability to pay. This wage would be adjusted for inflation at a minimum every three years.
