We are facing the worst economic crisis in our country since the great depression. Reckless spending by both parties within congress is one of the key reasons for the fiscal mess we are in, and added to that... unbudgeted spending on two wars, a loss of tax revenues resulting from a poorly planned tax break, an inefficient drug plan for seniors with no price negotiations, and deregulation of financial businesses... much of this mess was caused by career members of congress under the guidance of lobbyists and not the voters.
If we term limit our President, then it stands to reason that we should term limit our congress. This will not only flush out career politicians, but it will encourage new faces and new ideas in our government.
