The purpose of this petition is to try to create an equal opportunity playing field for all individuals when they are applying and interviewing for work. Businesses should be hiring the most qualified people and not excluding the unemployed, those over 50 and folks who are heavy set. Companys who are discarding these individuals from their existing staff and failing to hire them when opennings occur should be assessed hefty fines and their tax rates should be substantially higher than those companies who treat all applicants with dignity, respect and equal rights. What is happening in this country today is a disgrace and businesses need to return to the American values that made the USA a great place to work and live.
