On March 6, 2013, this bill was assigned to a Congressional Committee for consideration. It would bring the Federal minimum wage to $10.10 an hour over the course of three years: $8.20 the first year, $9.15 the second, ending in $10.10, followed by indexing for inflation. Additionally, tipped positions will be brought to $3.00, followed by 70% of the minimum wage.
We need to show our support for this bill. Unfortunately, H.R. 1010 has a 2% chance of being enacted at the current time.
