Currently there is no Federal holiday to recognize the impact of a woman. Given the significant impact of females on our country and culture, it would seem that the time has come for us to celebrate a non-male contribution to our country. There are MANY women we could choose - Susan B. Anthony comes to mind. But what about Abigail Adams? Ida B. Wells? CLARA BARTON? Rachel Carson? Harriet Beecher Stowe? Harriet Tubman? Sojourner Truth? Helen Keller?
PLEASE consider how important a holiday to recognize the other half of the population could be.
