Thousands of civilians killed, hundreds killed in attacks on individual towns, abductions as large as 200 at a time, suicide bombings including bombers who may be as young as 10 years old. The Nigerian government is out of its depth, and there is little-to-no international action or aid. France has tried an initiative that would involve action from the governments of the region, but spreading the effort among a greater number of nations would increase the effectiveness. There are atrocities being committed, and no civilized nation should sit by and watch - or, even worse, ignore.
