Whereas no person holds a right to be free from offense.
Whereas the consequences of rendering one's opinion on any matter should never include physical force, fines, or imprisonment and should never source from the state.
Whereas violence and evil committed around the world, whatever the motive, should always be brought to light.
Whereas violence and threats of violence now motivate various persons to impose limits and penalties upon the right of a citizen to speak one's mind on religious matters.
We call upon the President to further endorse the freedom to speak one's mind on any topic without fear of government reprisal by asking congress to pass a law guaranteeing citizens the right to speak their mind on religious topics.
