Why do Americans, and especially women, have to leave America and become citizens of *other* countries, specifically Israel and countries in Europe, to receive free bachelor's and master's degrees in any area of study, but especially math and science, and at the best schools? It's time the Obama Administration set up an "Education Corps" so that we can stay right here and do everything from get a new career to transition. Full tuition, room, and board for post-baccalaureate certificates, second degrees (which should be encouraged at private colleges), and master's degrees, should be covered, and prep work to get into such programs should also be fully funded--courses at community colleges and four-year institutions. Better guidance counseling is also needed, overall.
