Replace Andrew Jackson with Rachel Carson on the 20 dollar bill. Andrew Jackson should not be on the 20 dollar bill because of his less than stellar policies towards Native Americans including his involvement in the Trail of Tears. Andrew Jackson also was not even supportive of federal banking as evidenced by his vehemence against and deterrence towards the creation of the Bank of the United States. If Rachel Carson was put on the 20 dollar bill she would be the first woman on current federally issued currency. Rachel Carson should be put on the 20 because of her life long dedication to protecting the environment. She started the modern environmental movement with the publication of her book "Silent Spring". She reversed U.S. pesticide policies and inspired the formation of the E.P.A.
