On Jan 7, 2011, Rep. Jose Serrano (D, NY-16) submitted for consideration to the 112th Congress the following proposal for amendment:
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.
This joint resolution, H.J.RES.17, is currently docketed to be reviewed by the Subcommittee on the Constitution on Jan 24, 2013 by the 113th Congress.
We, the signers of this petition, request the public support of the Obama Administration for the aforementioned joint resolution, submitted by Rep. Serrano.
