As 2014 approaches, The Affordable Care Act has made it clear that everyone in the United States needs to obtain health insurance or be faced with a $95 tax penalty in 2014 that will rise to $695 by 2016. In further efforts to make health insurance more widely accessible, employers must provide it to workers working 30+ a week.
As you might have imagined many chains such as Papa Johns, Burger King, and McDonald's would rather move their fulltime employees to part time in efforts to avoid proving them with benefits.
This issue is important to us all and I urge you to support me by demanding that these chains provide their employees with continued fulltime employment and ability to obtain benefits at an attainable rate.
Providing more obstacles for obtaining HI isn't what we need.
