H.R. 136 Amends the Internal Revenue Code to establish in the Treasury the Homeless Veterans Assistance Fund to allow individual taxpayers to designate on their tax returns $3.00 on income taxes ($6.00 in the case of joint returns) to be paid over to such Fund to provide assistance to homeless veterans.
Veterans have sacrificed their lives for every individual in the country that they swore to defend. Now, they need the support of the country to obtain a place to call home. There are significantly high numbers of veterans who are homeless every night. Will we support H.R. 136, and assist our veterans, or will we turn our backs?
