H.R. 2124 is a bill introduced by Congressman Barrow from Georgia to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to improve worksite enforcement, prevent crime, and gain operational control of the borders, and for other purposes. It also includes improvements to ICE by enacting that Immigration Enforcement Agents shall be paid on the same scale as Immigration and Customs Enforcement Deportation Officers (DO) and shall receive the same benefits and same arrest authorities. It also provides for additional ICE DO positions to include additional support staff, Immigration Judges and Prosecutors and better equipment for ICE. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/hr2124#overview
