In February of 2013, H.R. 499 "Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2013," was introduced to the House by Rep. Jared Polis (D-CO). Not only is there no logical reason to continue to prohibit the sale and use of cannabis (marijuana), but the plant has shown significant medicinal qualities and benefits for many different conditions. We believe it is the constitutional right of each American to decide whether or not to partake in the consumption and sale of marijuana, as it is for the use and sale of tobacco and alcohol.
