Congressman Duncan Hunter of California has introduced a bill in the House of Representatives to require that the Purple Heart Medal will occupy a position above the newly created Distinguished Warfare Medal, designed to recognize pilots of unmanned drone aircraft. We request that President Obama, to get behind H.R. 833 so that those American Heroes who have made a sacrifice for this country with a loss of blood, life or limb, will not be awarded a medal that is lower in order of precedence than a pilot of an unmanned aircraft who would never be placed in harm's way and therefore, would never be risking their life.
