Pakistan has been aiding and abetting enemies of the United States for years, and has remained an impediment in the fight against terrorism. Recent events prove that either the civilian government in Islamabad has lost control of parts of its territories to terrorist organizations or willfully aiding in their operations. Both the scenarios are worrisome.
If the civilian government has lost control of its territories, we need international efforts to help them take back their territory, as no one needs another ISIL episode. If that is not the case, they are willfully aiding and abetting these organizations, they need to be declared a state sponsor of terrorism.
