Equality in taxation would mean that every dollar is equal, without reguard to the earner. The dollar earned by the dockworker is equal to the dollar earned by the CEO of the company that employs him. The first step to Tax Reform is to remove "Classes" from "Earned Income". The preferential treatment of Earned Income Classes makes a mockery of the concept of Equality and fairness. It furthermore causes division between Americans who see that millionaires need only change the "class" of their earned income to lower the taxable rate. The current class based system of taxation impedes equal opportunity economically. Economic equality can only be achieved when ALL "Earned Income" (Wages, Interest, Dividends, and all Capital Gains) is taxed at the same rates.
