In 1776, the American Colonies declared their Independence from Britain.
Now, in 2014, we are going back against this fundamental American principle of freedom after nearly 250 years.
1. Crimea is autonomous region. It's government is already desperate from the government in Kiev. It governs itself. It is not seccessionist from Ukraine as the American Confederacy was to the Union.
2. After the riots in Ukraine, the Minister of Crimea asked for Russia's assistance to protect it's citizens.
- This is not unfounded. Ethnic Russians in Eastern Ukraine have been VIOLENTLY TORTURED for pro-russian protests.
-Ukrainian government vows violence and retribution if Crimea separated.
Russia is not being aggressive in this instance.
