Support an initiative to repeal the 17th Amendment to the US Constitution and restore State selection of US Senators.

Created by B.F. on November 15, 2012

The Framers of the U S Constitution provided for the selection of US Senators by the sovereign States. Senarors were meant to be the representatives of the States in the Federal government. The 17th Amendment allows the election of US Senators by popular vote. Because the States no longer have legislative representation in the making of Federal Law, the Federal Government is able to impose rules, regulations, and unfundated mandates on the States. The Federal Government has become far larger than the Founding Fathers ever intended.
