Consumers and families deserve a way to "vote with their feet" when they're not happy with a product. In this case, its a product broadcast into their homes.
Cable companies have had unfettered access to the wallets of their consumers for too long. Costs have skyrocketed, and Consumers are forced to pay for programming they don’t want or watch. The current antidemocratic cable system forces families to purchase all-or-nothing cable packages that give consumers no control over their cable bill, or what is broadcast into their living rooms.
Even if a consumer blocks a channel that they are morally against, they are still forced to subsidize that channel when they pay their monthly bill.
Support Senator John McCain's bill to help unbundle cable packages in the interest of the consumer.
