All of the proposed gun laws and bans that I have read infringe upon my rights as a law abiding citizen who owns guns. There have been outright bans of "assault weapons" proposed. There is nothing differentiating an "assault weapon" from any other type of semi-automatic rifle or shotgun that can be used for sporting purposes or plinking. There have been tax hikes proposed on weapons and ammunition. The ammunition tax that is proposed is 50%. Ammunition is hard enough to find in the first place, please don't make it harder. The truth of the matter is that people kill people. If a person wanted to kill another person, they could do it in numerous ways. Guns are a tool and need to be respected as such. Please consider alternate routes to achieve a safer America.
