If the job "lobbyist" is made illegal then the influence of big business on lawmakers will be sharply reduced. This would force big business to reach their lawmakers the exact same way regular people do - by email, phone calls and letters.
As it stands big business has more influence on lawmakers than the needs of the American people. Why should big business have such access to the House and Senate? The average American citizen does not anywhere close to the same access as well paid lobbyist do.
Let's end the practice of unfair access by eliminating the job of paid lobbyist.
