Jonathan John, a boy in Colorado, has endured much in his short six years. Jonathan is deaf, born to DEAF PARENTS & has two hearing siblings.
The parents abused Jonathan and his siblings, so they were placed into foster care. His foster parents fell in love with him...adopting him, and eventually all siblings as well.
Jonathan's new parents found out about the miracle of COCHLEAR IMPLANTS - a surgically implanted device that RESTORES SOUND to the DEAF.
Jonathan is now mainstreamed in Kindergarten, using SPOKEN LANGUAGE like of his peers and excelling! But the school system refuses to adapt to the parents' wishes to keep SPOKEN LANGUAGE HIS ONLY MODE OF COMMUNICATION, and they continue to use SIGN LANGUAGE. His therapists all agree he should NOT SIGN!
