The Death Penalty is an immoral and inefficient sentence that has led to the murder of both the innocent and reformed. There are three reasons for supporting a ban on the death penalty. First, it is a procedural nightmare for attorneys who are attempting to appeal this sentence leading to the execution of individuals who filed paper work only hours late. Second, it is economically inefficient as it is significantly more expensive to house a death row inmate than it is any other. Third, it is immoral. We should hold the State to a higher standard and not allow them to commit the same act they are punishing. Whether you agree with one or all of these reasons, please support a ban of this primitive and barbaric punishment.
