A smartphone "Kill Switch" will help save lives and stop violence and injury by making a smartphone worthless to anyone stealing one. Corporate makers of smartphones oppose such legislation because it means billions of dollars in lost profits on the sale of new smartphones to replace stolen ones and on theft insurance.
Saving lives and stopping injury during a theft is more important than Corporate profits. All the makers of smartphones have created a physical safety hazard to smartphone owners by not including a Kill Switch or App.
