Support Legislation to Require Cable-TV Distributors to Give Consumers the Option to Buy Channels on an A La Carte Basis

Created by J.C. on May 10, 2013

Support John McCain's proposes legislation to to require pay-TV distributors to give consumers the option to buy channels on an individual or a la carte basis instead of the current system in which they must buy large bundles of channels.

Instead of being required to buy 300 channels I don't want to get the 10 I do want, I should have the freedom to only buy the channels I want. The way it is now, it would be like going to the grocery store to get some ice cream. Its $5. But they tell me that ice cream is bad for you and I am required to get veggies too. But don't worry, for $50, you can get a whole basket full of veggies I don't want and when you average it all out, the ice cream is really only $2.

End the Cartel. End the Monopoly. Support a la carte!!!
