In Aurora, Co, Newtown, CT and several other communities innocent victims are being killed by the mentally ill. If it was easier for family members, doctors, teachers, and other community members to committ people who were a danger to themselves or others would these type of situations happened? I think not. How many more lives must be taken before our government does something to help the mentally ill in our nation? These shootings were not about guns, but about people who needed help. Just think of how many lives would have saved if these people were given the treatment they needed. Please help end the cycle of violence by the mentally ill and let the government know what the real issue is: mental health care, support for families, and if needed facilities.
