Support the movement of having Muslim holidays

I am a undergraduate student in New York City. I really do support the movement of having Muslim holidays recognized in the school year, throughout the United States of America. Although it is not mandatory for Muslim students to go to the school on a Eid day, most of the time we end up going due to the exams or important lecture classes. So I really want the Obama administration to make Eid an official holiday. Thank you
