Support a National Ban on Reparative therapy for Minors

Because reparative therapy has been shown conclusively to be ineffective; because it is condemned by the American Psychological Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the Pan American Health Organization, the National Association of Social Workers, and the American Academy of Pediatricians; because reparative therapy has been associated with depression, drug use, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and anxiety. We the People petition this administration to support a national ban on all forms of reparative therapy practiced on minors, whether it is performed by licensed or faith-based practitioners.
