Congress' approval rating is at an all time low; on average, they spend only 112-120 days a year in session. Even when they're there, it's like they're not, with filibustering and pandering with nonsense bills.
Since the Citizens United decision saying corporations are people, more money than ever is going to elections and politicians so they can make a living fighting each other instead of making the country work for the people.
The President recently said "you can't change Washington from the inside".
Give the people the ability to change it from the outside by supporting the ability to create national ballot initiatives with a direct democratic process, like supported by the National Citizen's Initiative for Democracy.
Let the people vote on laws directly. Unclog the system.
