The FCC and Cable companies across the country are supporting a bill that will allow them to restrict internet speeds on many websites and charge a premium payment to regain normal internet speeds on said websites. What this bill will end is called Net Neutrality, which sets an equal playing field for all websites. If Net Neutrality is ended it will hurt small business's websites who can't afford to pay the premium for faster speeds, and increase fees of online subscription services like Netflix. The ending of Net Neutrality only promotes the growth of the cable companies themselves, making them a bigger monopoly than most would say they already are. Google, Facebook, Amazon, and Netflix are all in support of Net Neutrality and protecting the freedom of the internet, and you should be too.
