Dear President Obama,
We ask you to submit a nomination of Malala Yousafzai of Pakistan for the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize.
As a recipient yourself, you know that not just anybody can make these nominations. Only former recipients and various high-level governmental offices and organizations can do so. You are one of the few in a position to submit a nomination.
Ms. Yousafzai deserves next year's Peace Prize for her fearless and ongoing efforts to bring education to the girls of Pakistan. The entire world has benefited from her courage. She continues to fight for these rights from a hospital bed after being shot in the head three times by a Taliban member. Despite this, she remains resolute.
We ask you, as a former Nobel Peace Prize recipient, to please support her nomination for 2013.
