This Petition is a request for President Obama to organize a committee of common citizens all of whom make less than $300,000 per year and have no employment with the U.S. Government nor have any contractual relationship with the U.S. Government.
This committee would, among other things, examine the benefits and compensation extended to all federal elected and appointed officials. This committee would also make recommendations for changes in the benefit and compensation packages available to all federal elected and appointed officials.
Additionally, this committee would act independantly and would also be asked to examine various federal policies and provide recommendations to both the Legislative and Executive branches of the U.S. government.
